Our Thoughts on Amsterdam Fashion Week
Published on September 12, 2025

Amsterdam Fashion Week always feels like a reminder of why we do what we do. This year, as we moved from talks to shows, from creative hubs to afterparties, one thought kept returning: how important it is to have spaces where undiscovered fashion and emerging designers can be seen, heard, and celebrated.
Behind every collection we saw, there was a story waiting to be told. Young designers shared not just their work, but also their hopes, challenges, and vision for what fashion can become. These weren’t just clothes on a runway—they were expressions of individuality, creativity, and a different way of looking at the industry. Being there felt like witnessing the future of fashion being stitched together in real time.
We often talk about sustainability and independence as values, but Amsterdam Fashion Week showed us what they look like in practice. It reminded us that fashion is not only about trends, but about the courage to create something authentic. Meeting designers who will soon join Closet.eco made this especially meaningful. To hear their stories firsthand and to imagine how their work will connect with our community felt like a small step toward a bigger change.
The beauty of Amsterdam Fashion Week lies in its diversity: established names sharing the stage with undiscovered talent, intimate conversations happening in the corners of showrooms, and the sense that everyone is contributing in their own way to a more thoughtful, creative industry. For us, it reinforced the belief that fashion is at its best when it gives room for new voices.
We left with inspiration, fresh ideas, and most importantly, with the excitement of soon bringing some of these designers onto our platform. Because the future of fashion depends on more than visibility—it depends on creating opportunities, building connections, and making space for creativity that otherwise might stay hidden. And that’s exactly what we’re here for.
